Batavia, Illinois

This new independent living residence is a 3-story building with an underground parking garage, containing 60 dwelling units in a variety of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom configurations across all three floors. The building was designed for accessibility and flexibility for independent residents of all types.

The look and feel of the new building relates to the newly-constructed Town Center, which is a composite of brick and stucco with steep roof slopes and brick turrets.

Because this building is the farthest residence home from the Town Center, its community room serves as a satelite activity center for the western half of the CCRC. The community room is cozy and inviting as well as flexible to enable a wide variety of gatherings, parties, and activities. Overlooking the pond, the community room and two-level common balcony provide beautiful nature views.
